Details about the program:
-
Talking Tots is a parent education program that helps parents support their child's use of first words and grow their early communication skills. This program is for you if your child has yet to use their first word or are mostly using a few single words.
-
At the end of this 7-week program, you will have knowledge about evidence-based strategies that support communication and how to use these with your child in your daily routines and play to support their first words
-
The program is provided completely online through video calls so it is easy-to-access for busy parents across Ontario
-
Program includes 1 assessment, 4 group learning sessions, and 2 individual visits
-
An assessment determines the foundational communication and interaction skills your child currently has so we can build on those skills (to be scheduled for week of January 8-12, 2024 upon registration)
-
4 evening group sessions involve learning about evidence-based strategies that support early communication from a speech-language pathologist (7:30pm on Wednesday, January 17, 24, 31 and February 7, 2024)
-
2 individual visits help you tailor the learning from group calls to your child and environment (to be scheduled for week of January 24 and February 7, 2024 upon registration)
-
-
Investment: $698.00 (get a $100 discount by registering before December 31, 2023; after that, price goes up to $798.00)
-
Receipts will be provided for all visits/sessions following their completion and can be used to submit to any extended health benefits (should you have access to them). Please ask us about how having a parent name included on parent education invoices can maximize the use of your benefits.
